Oh, did I have a good time this weekend. Iolo and I went to Washington to stay with Kristine and Richard and it was such fun.
We got to go to the NCAA Lacrosse Semifinal and Championship games in Baltimore. I once spent 3 weeks at a boys' school there when I was about 16 so I have really good memories of Baltimore:

Richard is a huge fan of Navy who were one of the teams playing - although clearly not as big a fan as the following guy:

We then went home for drinks and nibbles before dinner. Kristine and I were so impressed with our Pimms (with fruit!) and snacks that we thought we would take a picture of them. So here is our nice food:

We also spent a day at Knit Happens. I love being there - it is full of temptation and I get to walk around and stroke all of the different yarns in turn. And then I was really tempted by a lot of things but I will be going back there soon and decided to be reasonable. I did buy some beautiful Noro Daria although I am not quite sure what I am going to make with it. I also got to meet Wendy as I worked on my Iris bolero that I am making in Debbie Bliss Cotton Angora - for some reason I don't get on too well with Calmer so I have switched.

And here is a picture of the bag that I made for Kristine as an extremely late birthday present. I am just waiting for my sister to start screaming that she wants one. Which would be fine but I am not sure that I am up to fighting with bag lining any time in the near future. It was a bit of a battle.

Finally, enjoy a shot from my window on Friday when we had a most impressive thunder storm.

I hope you had as good a weekend as I did.
