Well after weeks and weeks of saying that I would, I finally got around to doing a lotg of blocking.
I blocked the front and back of the husband's Guernsey sweater:

I did, however, pay attention to the husband's sweater. Here is the sleeve pinned in place ready to be sewn up.

What a lovely bride, and gansey! (And groom of course.) x oxo Kay
Posted by: Kay at September 29, 2005 04:14 PMYou've been busy!! That is a lot of blocking and I certainly envy you all those ends...yikes! Happy Anniversary! And your Peppermint Twist is gorgeous too - I've always had a thing for that sweater.
Posted by: Vicki at September 26, 2005 07:38 PMYour wedding photo is beautiful Amelia! Happy Anniversary!! I've never seen those type of pins before (the ones holding the sweater together that you made for your husband). I'm going to have to search around for some of those. Fruity looks delicious!!
Posted by: Maggie at September 26, 2005 04:39 PMHappy Anniversary - what a lucky man getting a sweater. Its our 14th (cripes) coming up and I have not yet knitted him a sweater!
Good idea with the stitch markers using as pins for blocking. I would never have though of that. Looks like they work a treat too.
Happy Anniversary! We just celebrated 4 yrs in June too but I didn't make him a sweater! Yours looks fantastic. Where is the pattern from? The photo is lovely - great dress. Hope you had a great day.
Posted by: Carol Bradford-Roe at September 26, 2005 04:00 PMAmelia - I never thought to use the stitch markers as pins. You clever thing! What is that very technical looking graph underneath fruity's sleeves?
Your wedding photo looks gorgeous - isn't he handsome!

Posted by: Wendy at September 26, 2005 12:22 PMYou look absolutely ravhishing? And unforgivably thin :)
Congratulations! To many more :)
Posted by: stinkerbell at September 26, 2005 09:23 AMI'll add my Happy Anniversary greetings as well and wish you both many more.
Something else on your post has caught my eye - what are you using to hold your knitted pieces together - those little "padlock" things? I have never seen anything like them. Any chance of a brand name so we can hunt them out over here? So much better than pins when sewing mattress stitch. Thanks in advance.
