Random thoughts

I don't think that all bloggers are the same, but I have to admit that sometimes the timeline on my blog is rather unrelated to reality. Some postings happen a while after they actually happened (a while can be months...). And sometimes I post immediately after the fact.

Here are a couple of delayed ones...

Kris came over from Norway a few weeks ago and it was bang in the middle of the Liberty sale. She denies planning this so that she would be here for the sale. Mmm, not sure I buy that. (You can find out here what she bought.)

As for me - I think I was very good. If I was bad, there are no pictures and I can't remember.

Kris was really lovely and I got a gift! Here it is, prettily wrapped.

Wrapped gift

And here it is after I'd torn all the paper away and finally got to the important stuff.

Unwrapped gift

It's really goregous 'Old rose' Baby Silk Du Store Alpakka yarn (80% alpaca, 20% silk) and it's so soft. I think that it has a future as a scarf. Or a pair of very comfy socks. Toe up so as not to lose a gram of it.

Finally, I'd like to assure you all that Wales is doing it's bit to make sure that we have plenty of yarn in years to come.

I do love beautifully wrapped packages. They are just a joy to receive - and a lot of fun to do yourself for others too. Only trouble is sometimes I don't want to unwrap them .......... very cute sheep.

ps I'm going to be in London from 29th June to 3rd July - does that coincide with the Liberty's sale ????

What a beautiful gift Amelia. I love presies. Can't get enough of them myself. The liberty link was broken. Is it an online store as well?
