I went to Copenhagen a few weeks ago and had the most wonderful time. Unfortunately I also lost my camera and so I didn't take any pictures of all the wonderful yarny things that I saw whilst I was there. I went to the Isager shop called Amimono which was fully of gorgeous colour and yarns. I saw the Mermaid. And I had a lot of fun with my friend which is what the weekend was all about.
I haven't done as much knitting as I would have liked to of late and, between the fact that evenings are still to dark to take pictures and life having been completely out of control (nothing particularly bad, but the last few weeks have been unsettling), it's not been great for blogging. So here's what I have of late. Hopefully things will change and my blogging with increase in both regularity and photographic quality.
This was bought during a recent trip to Purl Soho in New York.

And from the other side.

And then I also indulged in these.

And to think that, back in the day, some people used to say that I only liked beige! (You know who you are!)
I may also have indulged in a rather large quantity of, ahem, Koigu KPPPM. In the most stunning turquoise colour.

There's enough to make a garment there although what it will grow up to be is still an open question. Any good ideas? Make sure you tell me in the comments.
Finally, I stopped at Dean & Delucca. Luckily I was running out of time, money and hands to carry bags in, so the damage was minimal. But these did find their way into my bag, mostly because I thought the wrapping was so pretty.

Sounds like a fantastic trip!
Posted by: Daisy at April 23, 2010 02:17 PMOooh, I'm still so jealous of the fabric! That chocolate is (almost) too pretty to eat - hope it's as delicious as it looks!
As for the Koigu - ooh, I'm not sure. What about a lightweight spring cardigan, if you've got enough? There have been some pretty patterns recently... like the Whisper cardigan and other such things. Or Kim Hargreaves has some pretty short sleeved cardigans for 4 ply yarn. So many options! The colour is perfect for spring.
Posted by: jane at March 26, 2010 05:11 PMOh you bought such gorgeous, gorgeous things, I am very envious. The colour of the Koigu is stunning.
